Darker Than Expected, but Good Outcome

Added more plants to my tank and needed more depth of gravel for root establishment. I was hoping for a more gradual color change thinking it was more grayish, but came out darker than expected. It actually helped the plant color to pop our more and the Malaysian driftwood to stand out more as well. I'm satisfied with the outcome. Side note: Although it says triple-washed, make sure to pre-rinse it a few times to clear the dust.

Great For Kick Starting A Tank

Great looking substrate. It kicks in quick so be ready for a tank to cycle a little quicker than normal due to the additives. The color is beautiful and the size of the actual susbstrate is perfect. This bag is also a great value for the price, believe me I checked.

This isn’t pewter, it’s black

I know this say black pewter but the pictures show it as more of a gray. I’m not sure why they even bother to call it pewter cause it’s flat out black. I was a bit bummed but it still looks ok. I have yet to actually find a gray rock. It was pretty clean, but did require some rinsing. The process is pretty good for the amount of gravel you get.
